Two pictures, that is. Both from my archives but unpublished until now. The first one is a soft shade of blue for Anna Carson’s Project Blue. A souvenir from Southern France.
The following picture was taken from the ground up and it's a souvenir from Genoa, Italy for J Fargo's from the ground up : a ten day project revolving around the idea of shots, objects, and actions that come from the ground, up.
I've realized that I have quite a few pictures which fit this theme. Unfortunately the 10 days are over... Time flies when you are having fun! Thanks to JFargo for such a fun project and to the participants for their visits!

Beautiful again ! I repeat myself but I can't say anything else, lol !
ReplyDeleteThe fireman was my son, on one picture you see his hand with his 2 m he could help Rosie down !
That door looks like something from the past -- almost a memory of blue ...
ReplyDeleteAnd the building detail is stunning. Lovely sharing, as usual!
I love that corner of shocking blue sky sneaking in in the second one.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots both, but I've got a thing for old doors...wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous pics.. but the door one is my favourite.. so rustic and the shadows falling across it look so good :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos but I just love the first one of the blue door! I love the colour of the door, I love the shadow from the tree and the composition. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh what a pretty shade of blue that door is!
ReplyDeleteLooking up is all done? Aw... I've enjoyed watching that one!
Mar, You have such an eye for photography. As always, both photographs are great. There is something about the blue one though that really gets to me. I can't come up with the words to describe why I respond to it so much but I do.
ReplyDeleteThe blue door is wonderful, but it's the leaf shadows that make it for me! Spectacular shadow details.
ReplyDeleteLove the door! Great addition to P.B.
ReplyDeleteThat 'ground up' photo is astounding Mar!! And the old wooden blue doors...the composition definitely captures attention!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that beautiful blue door/shutter?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found it in your archives...
Mar..I adore the shutters! I feel like I should be walking down a cobblestone path when I pass them :)
ReplyDeleteYour ground up today is a perfect finish...gorgeous!
Thank you for all your nice comments and I have had so much fun doing this with everyone :)
Both beautiful, but that first one has my heart. I love everything about it. Like others, I have an affection for old doors and shutters. I also just LOVE shadows and the shadows here are like a painting. And then I love that little yellow flower down in the bottom left that goes almost unnoticed but still managed to assert itself. My, I'm rambling. I really like that photo.
ReplyDeleteLove the perfectly matched texture of the wooden doors and the concrete wall. Beautifully shot!
ReplyDeleteI really like the shadow and I think I've admired different shots of that same window by you before, haven't I. I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI love that blue - and a great shot you have!
ReplyDeleteThe ground up one is great as well.
I enjoy your blog immensely and have marveled at your photos for both projects - it's a joy to visit here everyday.
That's really lovely. I love the shadows on the blue!
ReplyDeletelove both your contributions today!
ReplyDeletethe blue of that door is special and great detail of the building...
I make many pictures from the ground up too! I love yours, just the right angle!
ReplyDeleteI always have to be very carefull when I'm on a photostrroll not to bump into someone or break my neck or legs! Can't help it, I'm always looking up!I love the blue for your Project blue too, it's a colour they use a lot in the south of France huh?
Looking forward to my trip too, ten more days, I'm counting them!
I LOVE the soft blue door with the shadow of the tree on it. It has such a soothing peaceful look to it. Just wonderful. :)
ReplyDeleteThese projects are a lot of fun! Those are both fantastic shots and, lol, like most of your commentators, the door I could just keep looking at it. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBoth of them are very nice.
ReplyDeleteOh my...I love them both but the blue door is goregous, love the shadow branches.
