and I guess that's why they call it the blues

Posing for Anna Carson’s Project Blue

A stroll along the beach promenade late in the afternoon shows the long chairs already piled up and ready for the next day. It hasn't been particularly sunny but I enjoy the current pleasant 24ºC /75ºF , I don't need hot weather!!.

This is my last contribution to the project blue, it's sad to see it end ... what's next? yellow? red? brown? whatever color the future brings, I will be singing that magnificent Elton John's song today...!

weekend snapshot and the blues

home **

I only had blue in mind this weekend because of the Project Blue! first I could have photographed our friends' entire terrace as it is decorated in blue but I settled for the lovely cup of coffee we enjoyed after a delicious meal on Saturday.

For more blues please visit Anna Carson’s Project Blue

Real life is keeping me busy, the in-laws are here but staying at a beach hotel with friends, and faceb*ok with my private profile has become a fun toy which has allowed me to get in touch with long lost friends, sharing stories and old and new pics. Very time consuming but it's fantastic!

blue friday

Guest towels posing for Anna Carson’s Project Blue

Too little time and your wonderful comments (thank you!) on my prior blue pictures for this project have put a lot of performance pressure on me! This is a (very) quick snapshot taken a few minutes ago specially for the theme and in a hurry...

1. Idle hands are don't belong to a blogger...
2. I love to shower quickly in the shower. Water is a precious commodity!!
3. My favorite time of the day is when everybody (but me) leaves the house in the morning and then, when everybody comes home :)
4. The last tea I drank was herbal.
5. I like to read in the shade in the Summer.
6. My mother always said I shouldn't smoke...(I quit 21 years ago)
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a quiet evening , tomorrow my plans include luncheon at friends' and Sunday, I want to enjoy the day.

Two on Tuesday

Two pictures, that is. Both from my archives but unpublished until now. The first one is a soft shade of blue for Anna Carson’s Project Blue. A souvenir from Southern France.

The following picture was taken from the ground up and it's a souvenir from Genoa, Italy for J Fargo's from the ground up : a ten day project revolving around the idea of shots, objects, and actions that come from the ground, up.

I've realized that I have quite a few pictures which fit this theme. Unfortunately the 10 days are over... Time flies when you are having fun! Thanks to JFargo for such a fun project and to the participants for their visits!

this past weekend I...

This past weekend I spent two days in Valencia, which is a 3-hour drive from Barcelona, going South. I took many pictures but I would have taken many more had the weather been sunny.... Spain has been everything but sunny during the month of May, very unusual for the season but any raindrop has been more than welcomed. While downtown Valencia I saw the building posted on the left (click to enlarge), which was located near the cathedral. I love to look at the details of such rich decorations and I selected the picture below (of the same building) to be my participation in nothing less but three! memes at once, talk about a multiple-purpose shot!
