This past weekend I spent two days in Valencia, which is a 3-hour drive from Barcelona, going South. I took many pictures but I would have taken many more had the weather been sunny.... Spain has been everything but sunny during the month of May, very unusual for the season but any raindrop has been more than welcomed. While downtown Valencia I saw the building posted on the left (click to enlarge), which was located near the cathedral. I love to look at the details of such rich decorations and I selected the picture below (of the same building) to be my participation in nothing less but three! memes at once, talk about a multiple-purpose shot!
Wonderful ! what an art work !
ReplyDeleteHere the weather is very warm but it rains ! 25°C today ! Good for a shower in the garden and safe water ! The only trouble is to stand there naked !
colorful architecture!
ReplyDeletehave a good week! :)
Mar you are so clever and creative -- and a great photographer. Some folks have all the luck.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful - and you certainly got all three projects in!!
ReplyDeleteNice good snap shots of the view
ReplyDeleteGreat artwork on the building.
ReplyDeleteI was checking old posts. Would you believe our paths originally crossed in November of 2006 when you commented on one of my other blogs?

Beautiful artwork on that building, Mar!
ReplyDeleteThats a nice shot...Creative and pretty art. Happy WS!
ReplyDeleteThat's very, very impressive on a building!!!! Oh, I just love to see such things. What a work to get it done!
ReplyDeleteUhum... I wonder if we've got your weather by mistake? *giggles*
We've had such an unusual wonderful weather and too hot for the end of May month. In the beginning we had the opposite!
It changes fast, so better to be outdoors as long as it lasts...
Oh, and I know exactly what you mean: I hate to do photo shots when the sun is not shining. No good light and everything looks gloomy and more dull than it is.
ReplyDeleteamazing details!!! beautiful!

ReplyDeletePretty blue facade! Valencia looks lovely!

ReplyDeleteWow, I love that building and the blue on it is just great for project blue!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Mar, truly!
ReplyDeleteWhat a festive window! I think pictures come out better when the sun is out and it's cloudy. Michele is still hosting the meet and greet!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some type of dance theater from the art work!
ReplyDeleteWonderful job!
Good eye, Mar... as much as I like some of the new buildings because of the reflections they can produce, how can one not appreciate the construction of some of the most decorative old buildings... beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous building. I love the details.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend adventure...and what a beautiful building. Three meme's in one...wow!
ReplyDeleteExcellent multi-tasking - and a beautiful photo. I can see why you like that building too! What wonderful blue (and other colored) detail. Lovely.

Great picture. I thought one for two was good but one picture for three has to be the top.
ReplyDeleteI do agree - wonderful details and great architecture.
ReplyDeleteSorry we've taken all the good weather up north in Europe - I'm sure you get it back soon :-)
The bottom picture is enchanting. It looks like a building that I could look up at for hours. Reminds me of the Disney animated-movie "Hercules."
