I like the way they are painted in such a colorful way. I removed the shutters from the outside of my house a long time ago. They weren't functional, just the kind on either side of the window for ornament. I don't think I saved them but this makes me think what fun it would be to paint the dark green (almost black) shutters I had in a bright yellow.
What a great shot! This is a beautiful window shot... I just love as I do have a huge liking for windows, espcially in Europe... (I snooped earlier and found one from your trip last year - oh it makes me miss Vaud/Switzerland!)
One of the things I like about the Photo Hunt is how the seemingly mundane can become interesting blog entry subjects. Think that's the case with you too. :)
It says a lot about the people who live there that they DID Paint these lovely bright colors on their shutters...Looking at something colorfuo can bring hope.
I love the painted shutters... such wonderful colors. I think we should have more of these here in the US.. in Europe they are everywhere. Mine is up here.
