Butterflies are free to fly

It's springtime and butterflies are busy. I have never seen such big ones like the butterflies pictured here, decorating a balcony for safety reasons. They are butterflies, aren't they? they almost look like an Indian goddess to me (click to enlarge).
Picture taken in Barcelona. Pulled from the archives as it is Monday and I am still not truly awake...

  4. Beautiful Mar!!! Hooray for archives!! This balcony reminds me of a similar styled balcony I photographed in Antwerp, but it had sunflowers instead of butterflies!!

  7. Yes, I'm sure that's what they are...beautiful ones...so nice they chose to do that vs bland old vertical strips!

  8. They look like butterflies to me, but I see what you mean about the goddess! One of the things I loved about Barcelona was the little architectural details like this. Gorgeous!

    Cheers, Bobkat.
