This is our sundial, which is up there not to tell time but for decoration purposes only...
Update: no, it doesn't tell time, the thin rod is missing from the very beginning because the position of this wall isn't appropiate for a somewhat accurate sundial . But we can enjoy the sight of it while sitting in our terrace.

ReplyDeletethat's such a lovely shot! :)
ReplyDeletehappy PH and enjoy your weekend, too!
Very beautiful photos you have.. Unique time..
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a great sun dial. I like sun dials for decoration and have tried to position one outside to actually work but the plants keep shading it no matter where I move it so I give up.
ReplyDeleteI also like you B post below. Bougainvillea is a favorite of mine although I don't have any. I don't think it would work in our climate but I enjoy it when I visit the coast both in my state and further south. I hope you have a great weekend.
Oh I like that!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend.
This is way cool but does it really show the time exactly Mar? Hehe.. I still prefer to wear a watch :P

ReplyDeleteThat sundial is pretty cool! I want one! Hahaha
ReplyDeleteGreat shot and great contribution. :)
that's a great art!
ReplyDeletehappy hunting!
A sundial to tell time which doesn't...tell time that is :-) I think its no big loss...time is a mental construction anyway. We humans have decided what time is and how it is to be measured...better to forget it and relax, enjoy your life and not be steered by it. Like the sundial!!!
ReplyDeleteI use mine for decoration too!! I think it would tell time if I knew enough to position it correctly. Good Post!
ReplyDeletehow beautiful mar! Such a great find.
ReplyDeleteOh. I haven't seen that before. It looks so... classic!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! It's works well as a decorative piece even if it's not working :)
ReplyDeleteIt's quite beautiful Mar, I love it. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you answered my question about if it works. I didn't see the part that makes it work (I taught a class on sundials once and should know that part's name, but I don't...wonder if DD does? Lol)
ReplyDeleteIt is a very pretty sundial though.
oh the dog is fine...her daddy is home now and we took away the waterdish that scares her.
ReplyDeleteThat's really a beautiful wall decoration !
