1. It's always nice when the house is quiet  clean!
2. I like to hear my loved ones' voices.
3. Positive attitude ; negative impact.
4. This is it! Son's MBA graduation is coming up.
5. What I heard didn't convince me.
6. Often, I search for the perfect gift.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to more soccer (Eurocup 2012), tomorrow my plans include some beach time and Sunday, I want to see Germany win vs Denmark ( Eurocup)!

Friday fill - in:

1. The right word is peace.
2. Come in and shut the door quietly, please.
3. Up , up and away.
4. In front of the laptop is where you'll find me.
5. Ooh! What is that wooden thing?

It's a grolle, a wooden dish with pouring spouts to drink from. A grolle is served filled 2/3 with hot coffee, 1/3 eau de vie, orange or lemon peel, a bit of sugar too.Each person gets a spout assigned and the grolle is passed around after a meal or simply for a drink, as the evening goes by I assume no one cares about using the assigned spout to drink from...!! Cheers from the French Alps! (I am back, though...)
6. A cup of coffee right now is a good idea.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to browsing through old pictures (the pc wizard rescued 2 years worth of pictures (of which I didn't have a security copy) out of my virus damaged computer (yeahhhh for the wizard!), tomorrow my plans include backing up all my archives... and Sunday, I want to enjoy Spring weather!

casual friday

1. One week ago my friend wasn't a grandmother, now she is a proud one and her granddaughter is one day old!!

2. I listened to the radio  when I was young.

3. Mama told me not to tell.

4. Today's meme  will bring many comments to  you and me.

5. Take your time to stop and smell the roses.

6. All bad things will pass!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to trying out the new blogger's editor (see below), tomorrow my plans include a long stroll  and Sunday, I want to have a family luncheon... if our  21-yo son has time for us!!

If you have a minute, check out blogger's new editor here. "To enable the new editor, first navigate to your blog's Settings | Basic tab. Near the bottom of the page you will see a field called Select Post Editor, and from there you simply need to select Updated Editor and save your settings
When you upload an image to the new post editor it will appear as a thumbnail in the image dialog box. That way, you can upload several images at once, and then add them into your post at your convenience. The thumbnails will be available until you close the post editor.
When you add an image from the dialog into your post it will be placed at the insertion point instead of at the top of the post." (This is the feature I had been waiting for!!)
"If you don’t like where an image is in your post, you can drag it around to another spot".  (it works, I tried that here!)

Fun Friday

1.  Being polite among mad drivers yesterday was  my  last random act of kindness...

2. Another place wouldn't be as special.

3. There is no logic  in matters of the heart.

4. Coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

5. Don't go separate paths.

6. Our garden reminds me that there is much work to get done. The current strong winds are not helping.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a glass of chilled champage, tomorrow my plans include ...gardening!  and Sunday, I want to hug my son, who is spending a few days in Germany.

1. My stomach needs a set of "Hundred"
2. Salad is what I ate the most of on Thursday, since it was a regular working day in Spain and we don't celebrate Thanksgiving.
3. The yard is thankful for last night's rain.

5. The smell of coffee reminds me of pleasant things.
6. More coffee is what I need right now!

And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to having my camera delivered (it was being repaired), tomorrow my plans include admiring a new portrait at some friends' home with the artist's presence and Sunday, I want to light the first Advent candle, which serves as decoration in our home without a further meaning...

Alphabet Photo Challenge ABC

This is the Mediterranean Sea and to the right you see Barcelona's Moll Adossat (in Catalan) or Muelle Adosado (in Spanish), where the big cruise ships (up to four at a time) moor. I have only taken a ferry from Barcelona to Genova- Italy once (18 hours), and that was from the ferry pier, which is located closer to the city. I took this picture while standing on top of a huge container ship (8-stories high). Yes, you need connections to do such a thing ... Let me add that evening I was seated next to the captain at the dinner table in a local restaurant. Too bad it meant business and I can't blog about it but at least the blog gets the above picture, thanks to the alphabet challenge.

1. The evening had an extra secret ingredient; it was a full moon!

I hope it is not too late to join the crowd. I saw green yesterday while seating in a Japanese restaurant at lunch time with Mr Mar. They have great food, even for non-sushi people like me. The huge bamboo sticks (they are about 4 m/13 ft tall) decorate the entrance. Click to enlarge.

1. When I fell in love, I knew it was the right thing to do.
2. I love it when the flowers bloom and it heats up outside!
3. Oh no! The internet connection is down, it's time to clean the house...
4. I watch little TV , I couldn't tell you which one is the craziest tv show ever.
5. Cheese and bread, grapes and wine make a great meal!
6. I never promised you a rose garden...
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a relaxed evening at home (see nr. 5), tomorrow my plans include gardening and Sunday, I want to enjoy a sunny day!

1. The last good thing that came in the mail was ... a birthday card, earlier this month.

2. This week I'm grateful for the upcoming weekend!

3. Tiramisu is the most delicious thing ever.

4. Life Blogging inspires me. I have discovered a somewhat creative side I didn't know I had . But I am not certain whether it is inspiring or simply addictive...

5. I'm most happy when... I am not under pressure. Although I do my best when the schedule is tight!

6. And all the roads we have to walk along are winding...(this reminded me of that Oasis' song...)

As for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to our fire place and a glass of wine , tomorrow my plans include some shopping in the morning as we are having a friend couple over for lunch (our main meal of the day ) and Sunday, I want to pack since I will be gone from Wednesday through Saturday! Going to good cold Germany, as my friend says.
