Ski trails are lined up by poles like this one, found on each side. They are meant for orientation, so you don't unwillingly end up skiing off-piste. Only the poles on the right side of the trail are painted in bright colours on top, so as to guide your way down the trail in case of bad weather (fog!!). I am a sunny skier and don't go out unless the weather plays along,

That's a stunning shot and perfect for the themes. I haven't skied since I was a teenager except once with my daughter. I ended up watching my daughter ski with my friend because I wasn't comfortable when I tried it again in the 40s and now in my mid 50s I doubt I'll try it again. It might have been better if I owned my own equipment and hadn't rented equipment but that's probably just an excuse since I did fairly well as a teenager with rented equipment. Anyway, I enjoy vicariously enjoying ski slopes through your shots through the years.
