01. I didn't have this blog
02. I was learning new things with an initial blog nobody but my sister and a good friend
03. You didn't miss a thing!
04. The teenager was almost 17 and a junior in high school.
05. We had a Canadian exchange student at home
06. From Winnipeg
07. Our son had spent time with him and his family in Canada months before.
08. It was a fun family experience
09. Teenager had just had an accident riding his bike.
10. He had a scaphoid (wrist bone) fracture and a cast on for 6 weeks. It was his left hand, so he was happy he could still do his homework :)
11. When I expressed my surprise about the six weeks, the doctor told me if I would have had the same fracture, I would have needed a cast on for at least three months...
12. That was the doctor's charming way of reminding me of my old bones!
13. I shouldn't have paid that bill...!!
I really enjoy reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteSix weeks is normal , I wouldn't have been impressed if the doctor had said that to me either lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat is with people getting their TT's up so early ?
What a neat list. I am always amazed at how much life can change in a year's time. My TT are up too. Happy Thursday!

3 months ago i did not know what a blog was! ;) i would have walked out without paying the bill!
ReplyDeletethe day i broke my right arm, a 2 y/o i know did as well....same break, same day. she wore her cast for just under 3 weeks. i wore mine for a little more than 3 months. our mutual ortho doc reminded me the same thing that old bones heal slower....humbling and so unnecessary is what i told him.
ReplyDeletemy tt is up.

A year ago - I started blogging, but not really. A post here and there and now I have three blogs - hehe.

We once had a spanish exchange student staying with us. It was a crazy week because he couldn't speak much English and we didn't know any Spanish!

Happy TT, I am late getting by. Thanks for stopping in. Storming bad here, so I am off. Tootles!
ReplyDeleteI didn't have my blog a year ago either. Oh how life has changed!
ReplyDeleteI would have at least said "It takes three months for me to heal from that liver shot you just delivered. I'll reach for my checkbook then"
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
Thanks for coming by my TT. Did you enjoy your Canadian experience?
ReplyDeleteIts great when lots of good things happen in a year.
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL idea for a TT list! Isn't it amazing how much things can change? This time last year was a very unsettling time for me, so it's nice to see how things have evolved, even though I want to make more changes. Thanks for the reminder to reflect.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing what can change in our lives in a year!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my T13 and I am sorry you have had trouble getting on my site. My esteemed templete designer, KellyNelly, said it was not the template. In Foxfire it is not a problem, it seems to only be in IE.
You should have paid the DR what you would have paid in Canada: nothing!
ReplyDeleteYou really got me thinking about what I can do for next weeks list--what I was doing a year ago. For one thing, I was just going back to work after Maternity leave.
I've always thought it would be fun to have an exchange student. But, I'm to lazy!
ReplyDeleteMy TT are up!
