Thursday Thirteen

First TT with the new template! 01. I have the prettiest new template! :P 02. and it is all thanks to the wonderful Denise, a brilliant site designer and a generous blogfriend. 03. She is simply terrific, I cannot thank her enough! 05. Went to the gym yesterday, after more than a few weeks 06. There was a new instructor, a young woman with very short hair. But I mean short-short! They change instructors very often because they don't pay well but I kind of like that because the routines change! 07. I have tried exercising at home playing a couple of Pilates DVDs but it just doesn't seem to work. It isn't the thought what counts in this case! I have watched those DVDs drinking my coffee and maybe having some cookies too... 08. Speaking of coffee, thursdays is morning coffee at a local cafe. 09. With Spanish friends. 10. We are very good: we order "cafe con leche" (milk coffee) and skip the pastries. Yes, we do. With very few exceptions. 11. Spanish people tend to meet in cafés or milk bars/snack bars rather than at somebody's home. That's why those places are always crowded and have a special lively ambiance. They place tables and chairs outdoors as soon as the weather allows it. It is all relative, though: north Europeans would do it a lot sooner if they had Spanish weather! 12. If you are indoors, expect the crowd to be very loud... Our chosen place is relatively quiet, but I have been in places where I could hardly understand my neighbor at the table. It's all that temperament! It's Spain. You don't expect a zen atmosphere when walking into an Italian restaurant either... 13. So now I should get ready to go meet the ladies.
