photo hunt: machine(s)

Photohunt is hosted by tnchick on Saturdays.

I am a machine person because I welcome any help I can get to make my everyday life more pleasant. But I don't photograph machines... other subjects catch my eye, like Gaudi architecture in Barcelona. He must have used some sort of machines to build this, not only labor force...!!

PS: I prepared this post yesterday. As as I am about to hit the publish button I am simply devastated by the images I have seen from Japan . My thoughts are with the people there , with those who have lost loved ones and their homes. And particularly with those looking for loved ones... Such a terrible catastrophe...

  2. He must've used machines for this beautiful work of art.

The news broke on the 11 pm news last night and every one was devastated by the calamity. This morning the Pacific coast including California and SF are gearing up for whatever effect the tsunami has. I haven't heard anything yet, thank heavens.

  4. I'm sure there was some kind of machinery used but also a lot of skilled hand labour I'll bet.

A tragedy for sure. One can hardly comprehend it.

  5. There are no words for Gaudi - and I much prefer a photo of his work to a photo of machines!

I, too, am saddened by the devastation in Japan. My thoughts and prayers are with the people.

What a terrible disaster in Japan, and they are so used to earthquakes but this one was too strong. I saw videos, horrible, how helpless we are against nature !

  18. Interesting take on the theme. I don't know if he used machines, but technically the stairs can count as machines as they can be used as leverage.

I know what you mean about Japan. I'll never forget the image of sludgy water with fire burning through.
