01. Tomorrow is graduation day!
02. Mr 18, our only son, will be wearing a suit and a tie.
03. There are no caps and gowns over here, at least not for a highschool graduation.
04. There will be a ceremony starting at 8 pm
05. Followed by a reception at the same school, planned to begin at around 10 pm
06. Remember this is Spain and the clocks tick a bit different!
07. Not only that: after the reception the highschool grads are heading to a nearby disco to celebrate.
08. All. Night.
09. Long.
10. It's the tradition.
11. Can't break an old tradition.
12. The disco is for the grads and their selected guests only (the fewer will be attending with a date). No other public and definitely no parents!. Except for one or two, they are all 18 years old and therefore of legal age according to European regulations.
13. Cheers! "We" 've made it!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations for the graduate. Another phase of life you have to trod. Yes Spain do have a different time. My son just came home from Spain 2 weeks ago. He was there on Official Business and he had to adjust to time a lot compared to our time here.
