This is an  anthurium I got for my birthday one month ago. The good news is: it is still alive!! which is a great achievement for my non-green thumb.

  16. Thanks for posting the name of this beautiful plant. I had taken some photos of a red one last year and kept referring to it as the plastic looking plant.

    Great shot and beautiful flower.

  22. THAT is amazing! Congratulations! And... how'd you DO that? Not keep the plant alive... the thing with the white specs in the picture... looks like you caught dust particles in the sunlight... of course I'm sure it's not THAT because I know there's NO DUST in your house! :)

  23. Should I burst your bubble and tell you Anthuriums are hard to kill? They must be because I kept a plant healthy the whole time we were in Hawaii (until a house guest "freed" it) and I have been dubbed the woman who could kill a plastic plant.
