01. where did the week go??? (not only the week is gone, the month of april too! I enjoyed the month of MARch... kept seeing my name all over! )
02. I went to Seville , see my last TT . Some of you left comments then asking for pictures and more on the festival for this TT (thanks- it's nice to have some feedback), that is why I am doing it this week too!
03. Experienced a powerful festival with wonderful people and great dancers!
04. And excellent food.
06. There was plenty of beer to drink but I am not a beer drinker
07. And there was also plenty of dry sherry (manzanilla, a type of wine) , which I don't drink either.
08. But I could party anyways! Read about the festival's eating and drinking procedures here!
09. Enjoyed just watching the daily parade (the beautiful flamenco dresses!) and taking pics:
10. I got to ride on a carriage, too. That was very special, you have to know somebody who owns/ has rented one for the festival! Meet Mr. Mar's striped sleeve ! I was told the number of carriages have increased so much over the years that they have to limit their access. Now they are allowed in according to the end number of the respective license plate: odds one day, even the next one. They have to leave by 7pm, the street cleaners arrive with lots of water to wash away any trace left by the horses! the streets have to be clean for the evening crowd, which arrives all dressed-up!
11. There was so much going on, it was difficult to select just a few pictures.Time to start a photoblog! The tents (casetas) can only have two types of canvas (which also happen to be the colors of the two main soccer teams): red or green.
12. This is the main entrance, I took this pic on sunday, the festival's last evening and the lights went off at midnight, when a 20 min. firework show began. It was beautiful, it was a perfect, mild spring evening and you wouldn't believe how many people were walking around Seville at those early hours! making plans for the festival in 2007! (actually I think they were making plans for the next day's happy-hour! There isn't one in Spain, but people love to meet for drinks and tapas)
13. I was there for the last two days of the festival and I need time to catch up on my sleep, the locals manage to party the whole week, maybe practice is everything! Happy TT!
Oh, and just for the record: today at 1:23 am it was 1:23 4.5.6, the way the date is written in many European countries. Read about it here!
Add your link below if you posted your TT, leave a comment either way!
