I seldom photograph food or meals because it seems a difficult task to make them look pleasant ... That's why I am stretching the theme a bit... This is a picture from my archives and - one of my favorites - my Christmas header last year. Because it's the season, I think this should be the way to have a cup of * insert your favorite beverage here* at breakfast time!
This is a long weekend for us as both, December 6 (Constitution Day) and December 8 (marks the conception of the Virgin Mary) are holidays in Spain. It also marks the beginning of the ski season and Christmas shopping, as the shops are allowed to open during the holidays and the following Sundays until the Three Wise Men arrive on January 6. Then the winter sales begin!! The season's shopping fever has arrived, don't let it be compulsive!
Happy photo hunting and happy weekend.

I too find photographing food a difficult task. That explains why I had to stretch my entry today too.
ReplyDeleteHave a good looong weekend.
That is a beautiful photo, and I agree it is hard to photograph food nicely.
ReplyDeleteMy Photo hunt entry is here
Please stop by if you have a moment and check it out :)
I don't usually take breakfast.

ReplyDeleteCoffee and love (that's a heart ornament there, right?) for breakfast -- not bad! ;b
ReplyDeleteLovely photo -- I think it fits the theme perfectly!
ReplyDeleteThe Conception holiday huh? Except even the most die hard literals are willing to agree that Jesus was most likely born in September, since that was census time.
yes it is hard for me to photograph food too. but I tried this time. This is a beautiful picture. I love it. I played a little with mine this week again.

Happy Hunting:-)
Think its a lovely seasonal take on the subject
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that Mary got her visitor on Dec 8 ! How is that possible then she was pregnant more than a year ?? With me it only took 9 months ! We have den heiligen Nikolaus today and the Belgian (mostly flemish) children get their big gifts (not at Christmas) My Orange Juice is indeed from Lidl, so you have it also in Spain, I did my shopping so far in Lidl (Aachen), Lidl (Rovereto, Italy) Lidl (Eastbourne, UK) Lidl (France) and of course all Lidls here ! The funniest thing is the shop looks exactly the same in all countries !! you can't get lost !
ReplyDeleteLovely photo. I'll have my hot chocolate now :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Mar, It's really nice. I can't do fod shots. Happy weekend

It's lovely! I love it. What a great creative take on the theme. You're right about photographing food - it's tough to do it well. I always admire the photographers who can it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your long weekend.
It's a very nice twist of the regular Breakfast Theme! And the shot is beautiful (and seasonal too)!
ReplyDeleteI've not been using Firefox... Does it look better? :p
That is a cute shot and unique entry. happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good point---don't be compulsively shopping! I am shopping with joy, but not cumpulsion right now. I have a few things more to get. Lovely picture--something from a bed and breakfast, it seems like.
ReplyDeleteAs everyone says, this one is a nice shot! Very unique too:) Love the heart!
ReplyDeleteTHAT really IS my kind of breakfast! And it's beautiful too...

Beautiful breakfast in Christmas mod! i am compulsive since yesterday. I say: just visit this shop for the pleasure of eyes...but I can't resist!
ReplyDeleteI agree... especially if you're sharing! Terrific shot!
ReplyDeleteLooks classy!
ReplyDeleteI played too :)
That's so pretty!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that photo, it's very artistic. Like real art. Oh, the joy of shopping! Even though we've already made all our xmas shopping early this year, I still wished that I could be in Spain now. I loved to stroll through the stores in Spain, to see something different than we have here in Sweden. Nowadays there isn't so many different stores over here, just the same big chains every where.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my collage. I use Photo Scape to make collages.
ReplyDeleteIt's a free software program, and it's very user friendly (and fast)! I like it a lot.
was looking for food but a drink is actually nice, too. In the Philippines, we also celebrate Dec 8 as Mother Mary's birthday but it is not treated as a holiday and yes, we're already having sales in the malls too:)
ReplyDeleteThis photo is great. I love the little heart decoration :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! And I'm rather grateful to see a breakfast photo that doesn't make my stomach growl... :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful picture, Mar....Thanks for all your Good Wishes. I am getting better, s-l-o-w-l-y.....!
ReplyDeleteoh, wow! That would certainly complete a romantic breakfast! nice one.
