photo hunt: breakfast

I seldom photograph food or meals because it seems a difficult task to make them look pleasant ... That's why I am stretching the theme a bit... This is a picture from my archives and - one of my favorites - my Christmas header last year. Because it's the season, I think this should be the way to have a cup of * insert your favorite beverage here* at breakfast time!

This is a long weekend for us as both, December 6 (Constitution Day) and December 8 (marks the conception of the Virgin Mary) are holidays in Spain. It also marks the beginning of the ski season and Christmas shopping, as the shops are allowed to open during the holidays and the following Sundays until the Three Wise Men arrive on January 6. Then the winter sales begin!! The season's shopping fever has arrived, don't let it be compulsive!

Happy photo hunting and happy weekend.

  24. Lovely photo -- I think it fits the theme perfectly!

The Conception holiday huh? Except even the most die hard literals are willing to agree that Jesus was most likely born in September, since that was census time.

  27. I didn't know that Mary got her visitor on Dec 8 ! How is that possible then she was pregnant more than a year ?? With me it only took 9 months ! We have den heiligen Nikolaus today and the Belgian (mostly flemish) children get their big gifts (not at Christmas) My Orange Juice is indeed from Lidl, so you have it also in Spain, I did my shopping so far in Lidl (Aachen), Lidl (Rovereto, Italy) Lidl (Eastbourne, UK) Lidl (France) and of course all Lidls here ! The funniest thing is the shop looks exactly the same in all countries !! you can't get lost !

  42. I love that photo, it's very artistic. Like real art. Oh, the joy of shopping! Even though we've already made all our xmas shopping early this year, I still wished that I could be in Spain now. I loved to stroll through the stores in Spain, to see something different than we have here in Sweden. Nowadays there isn't so many different stores over here, just the same big chains every where.

  43. Thanks for the comment on my collage. I use Photo Scape to make collages.
It's a free software program, and it's very user friendly (and fast)! I like it a lot.
