Fun Friday

1.  Being polite among mad drivers yesterday was  my  last random act of kindness...

2. Another place wouldn't be as special.

3. There is no logic  in matters of the heart.

4. Coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

5. Don't go separate paths.

6. Our garden reminds me that there is much work to get done. The current strong winds are not helping.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a glass of chilled champage, tomorrow my plans include ...gardening!  and Sunday, I want to hug my son, who is spending a few days in Germany.

Friday Flora

Platycerium bifurcatum, the Elkhorn fern,  as seen in Chile. I have never seen this plant before and it  looked simply wild !

  1. I'll drink (champagne) to your weekend. Happy gardening.
BTW we have elkhorn ferns in Australia, wonder if it's the same?

  7. That Elkhorn Fern is a very strong indoor plant in Belgium. I think I had one in our former house. I would love to join you for a glass of champagne. What a wonderful way to celebrate the weekend!

  8. When the snow melts, the need for gardening becomes ever more apparent. Good luck on that! And, give your son and extra big hug; of course you will, we love our boys.

I sure miss Germany. I had such a wonderful time with Uschi and Miss Anneliese's husband, Isegrim!

  10. My grandmother had a big elkhorn fern hanging from a tree in her yard in FL. It was huge, but I don't think nearly as big as the one you've shot. I just love how they grow anywhere!

  12. Yikes - It looks like some kind of crash landing of a plant into something! A little wild.
