Friday Flora
Platycerium bifurcatum, the Elkhorn fern, as seen in Chile. I have never seen this plant before and it looked simply wild !
I'll drink (champagne) to your weekend. Happy gardening.
ReplyDeleteBTW we have elkhorn ferns in Australia, wonder if it's the same?
I wanted to say something similar to your for #3 matters of the heart, but I couldn't find the right words.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could do some gardening! We still have plenty of snow in NY state. I can't wait until spring. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. Enjoy your son. Take tons of pictures of him. Share them. Okay, I'm through giving orders (for 5 minutes or so).
ReplyDeleteWhat a strange plant ! never seen that either !
ReplyDeleteAt that age my son sent me to hell when I wanted to hug him good bye, lol ! Today of course it's different.
Oh, I hope you have a lovely weekend. And, I love your answer to # 1. Wish I could drink a glass of champagne with you. Your picture is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThat Elkhorn Fern is a very strong indoor plant in Belgium. I think I had one in our former house. I would love to join you for a glass of champagne. What a wonderful way to celebrate the weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhen the snow melts, the need for gardening becomes ever more apparent. Good luck on that! And, give your son and extra big hug; of course you will, we love our boys.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting plant!
ReplyDeleteI sure miss Germany. I had such a wonderful time with Uschi and Miss Anneliese's husband, Isegrim!
My grandmother had a big elkhorn fern hanging from a tree in her yard in FL. It was huge, but I don't think nearly as big as the one you've shot. I just love how they grow anywhere!
ReplyDeleteGreat pic! Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteA great fill-in! I totally agree w/ number 3!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!
Yikes - It looks like some kind of crash landing of a plant into something! A little wild.
