Bridging the Gap is being hosted by Alice - this week only
This is the modern bridge next to the old one pictured below, on the right you can see a stone of the Point Romain. We crossed it while hiking last July .
The bridge itself might not be spectacular but the Alpine scenery certainly was! and I love how these tiny villages take care of all details to make the place special, including flowers to decorate a bridge.

This is a gorgeous image! I am so envious of this view.
ReplyDeleteLovely Mar.
I joined in too. Mine isn't as pleasingly visual as yours. :)
Ahhhh... it's beautiful!! The air must be fresh and cool! arghhh .... *envy*
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place, Mar :)
ReplyDeleteOf course the old one looks more romantic !
ReplyDeleteThis little bridge doesn't have the magic of the old one, but it still has a wonderful charm all its own.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful alpine landscape!
ReplyDeleteThe other bridge reminds me of the medieval days of yore! Where the armoured horses and knights come riding over to save the damsel in the tower!
ReplyDeleteThis photo, tho pretty as it is because of the countryside, doesn't hold 'a candle' to the old one that is much more 'romantic'!!!
The scenery is beautiful but I also love the bridges. Interesting how there is one in the forefront and another in the background.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot, as always. You have talent, my dear Mar!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful area! I'd love to be walking along this scenery. Lovely!
ReplyDeletethat is very pretty!
ReplyDeleteHi Mar. I love this photo. What a beautiful place, and yes, so rare that they'd have flowers on the bridge like that. I've never seen that kind of thing before, and wish it was common.
ReplyDeletegorgeous landscape and a beautiful bridge... but i think i prefer the old one ;)
ReplyDeleteFabulous bridges Mar, both of them!
ReplyDelete(I mean the one in the previous post as well of course!)Glad you joined in as well!
But this one is less romantic! So The older is my prefered but sure the second is used!!!
ReplyDeleteI know people in Alpen love really flowers and take care on them. Have a beautiufl weel Mar! I work again so i will try to post even if the time felt!
I just love alpines we have them growing in our mountains of North Idaho.
