Alice is hosting a photo challenge this week. Now that I was seriously thinking about taking some days off from blogging...but this is the chance for some pictures of mine to come out of the forgotten archives and see the light!
The current Photo Challenge is BRIDGING THE GAP. The idea is to post photos you’ve taken, or you are in, showing a bridge. Tell us something about the bridge, and/or what was happening when you took the photo.

This picture was taken during our vacation in the French Alps in late July. There is a sign at about 2pm indicating the name of this bridge: Pont Romain, but a local told us that it wasn't built by the Romans! although the bridge is very old. This one is for pedestrians only and covered by grass and the new one, also available for cars, is to the right. You will see it tomorrow on this blog. Stay tuned!
Lovely image!
ReplyDeleteI love all the stone work that went into this. It looks like a gorgeous place!
I haven't decided if I'm joining the challenge yet but I will be back to see yours.
That's a beautiful bridge. I love stone bridges and I'm not finding any in my archives so it's a treat for me that you posted this one. I was planning on taking some time off from blogging too. I felt the same way after the dragon challenge because I never blog every day. Then I managed to keep going straight through 14 days for 7 days of reflections because I love them. After a quick look in my archives I realized I have a ton of bridge shots because I love bridges so I may make it through 7 days of this. After that, I'll need a vacation, ha. It is fun to see what everyone comes up with.
ReplyDeletethis is a beautiful old bridge.
ReplyDeleteI LOOOOOVE that little bridge! I've never seen anything like it before! It looks like it should be in a fairy tale! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great old bridge, it has so much character :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a charming little bridge. I'll bet lots of people take their pictures on it.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like something from a storybook. In fact, I would not be surprised to see a hobbit crossing it. IT is too beautiful and peaceful for a wicked troll to live beneath, but I wouldn't be surprised if it housed a fairy or two. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou know, Mar, we want you to join the challenge and play with us, but nothing says you have to post every day. After my recent melt down, I don't do any blogging thing I don't wish to.
It sure looks like it was built by the Romans!
ReplyDeleteNice old bridge, Mar! I stay tuned to see the modern one!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead ...passing by to say hello!
ReplyDeleteOh my! What a fabulous bridge. So old and cool.
ReplyDeleteoh how pretty! you're so lucky to live in Europe.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely scene! It's so peaceful and quaint. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ! I have not one single bridge in my photo archives and not one here around ! I can't participate.
ReplyDeleteMr. Gattino + son were glued on the TV screen to watch Formular 1 ! He was delighted that Ferrari won. I hope Mr. Mar took earplugs with him !What did he say ?
We have some ponts Romains in Switzerland too! none here in California! ;))
