This is what a sailing vacation looks like. Lots of water, sunshine and hoping for wind everyday. It sounds a lot more relaxed than what it truly is: there is always something to do on board, check the sails, speed, check for traffic!, call the next harbor, and so on. It is also a wonderful way to get away from (nearly) everything, enjoy a swim, the quietness of a summer evening...and then there are the romantic harbor lights reflected on the water... with a bit of luck the picture could even qualify for Project Black!!
I've only ever taken barging holidays, which also sound relaxed, and aren't! But these are the most lovely pictures, and especially the romantic lights in the last! That one does look relaxing. You can't possibly be rushing about in that one :)
ReplyDeleteLovely vacation. I say the dark water in that last photo qualifies for Project Black.

ReplyDeleteVery cool pictures. The shipyard is really fantastic-looking, and all of these evoke the experience of being there.
ReplyDeletesounds absolutely LOVELY! I'm just hoping that one day I can talk DH into something like this. And that he'll let me try to man the boat too.
ReplyDeleteThose are all wonderful shots Mar. Looks like so much fun. Sailing can be great as long as you don't run into any severe storms.
