weekend snapshot

home **

This is an odd plant I saw in Gran Canaria, not this weekend but the one before (I think that's still within the rules for the weekend snapshot!). I have never seen anything like it and I thought maybe you can tell me something about this plant. It grew very long, as you can see in the first picture. The second one is the most my zoom allowed, it is not very clear but you get the idea. Can you name this plant?

Update: Anonymous did! Thank you so much but... why didn't you leave your name????? :(
Thanks, Anon, it is a burro's tail

Tags are around! JC tagged me with 5 Christmas wishes... Which reminded me I haven't made a list for Santa in a long while... and it required a bit of thought. Allow me to be very selfish here, and hope Santa reads this post!

1. Quality time to spend with my loved ones
2. Health for my loved ones and for myself
3. Financial means to get what money can buy...
4. Perfect vision ...
5. another 5 wishes A life's supply of happiness and family harmony.

Tomorrow's post : Nativity sand sculptures seen in Gran Canaria, which was actually scheduled for last Friday but life got on the way...

  10. I don't have any idea what it's called but it's beautiful. If you put Christmas ornaments on it, it would pass as a Christmas decor =)

  11. I've seen them in Fuerteventura too, but not hanging down that long. I've no idea what it's called though. Maybe it's something common for the Canarian Islands?

I have several posts that have had to wait because of life lately too. Suddenly several of them, it's very unusual otherwise.

Note to myself: come back her tomorrow for the sand sculptures!!!!!!

  20. Oh dear,
we saw lot's of Cactuses and their "half brothers and sisters" during our vacation in S A. But we never saw these ones.

5 X-Mas wishes: Yours is mine. All of them - except a long life (? can't garantie) were obtained on our Silver Wedding Vacation.

  25. Very cool plant...it reminds me of this plant that I really like called a "Rabbit's Foot Fern"...I like the fern because it grows these roots above the earth that make the plant appear to be crawling out of it's pot...and the roots have what looks like hair on them...very soft.

Cool pictures! That's neat how they thought to put the plants where they'll continue to grow like that.
