about a window

I love to look at and photograph windows (and doors) but I don't mean to intrude, it's simply plain admiration of decoration details . This window (click to enlarge) caught my attention in Hamburg. As a harbor city maritime elements are often found in this city , this ship is cleverly placed on the upper part of the window to allow a view. I love the deep green around the window and the architecture. Jugendstil - art nouveau predominates in this city. What wasn't destroyed by the bombings between 1940 and 1945... Fortunately, many buildings are still there, renovated (note the glass entrance here, below the window), well- kept and looking magnificent.

We used to live in a Judgendstil appartment building from the early 1900's in Hamburg, it's time to go look for some pics to scan!
