Which brings back memories from Greece (I know, I was going to limit this post to the postcard, but never expect much coherence on this blog!). I have only been there once and the short visit was limited to Athens. What I remember the most is the day we visited the Parthenon - what a breathtaking view of the city! and an impressive moment to stand before such a monumental construction , it was like standing before History, if you know what I mean. It was a cold, rainy and windy sunday, all at once! in jan 2005.
Don't I look scary (like Snape, lol) on the left picture? mainly because I was wearing black , it was my black phase. Believe me, I am a friendly person and I look that way but I was freezing standing there waiting for Mr Mar to finally take the pic and the strong wind wasn't any help to make me look my best!
I love postcards! Too bad people don't still send them...well like they used to anyway.
ReplyDeleteI love those photos! Sorry I haven't been around...I've been swamped! I see an end in sight though. :)
Oh my gosh! I want to go to Greece SO bad! This is all my family hears about when it comes to talking vacations! Why is it that I am NOT satisfied to visit different STATES? I WANT to visit different COUNTRIES! If I lived in Europe, going from Denmark to Germany is like going from Maryland to West Virgina! But I'm not HAPPY with that! I want to GO to Denmark! I WANT TO GO TO GREECE! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love receiving postcards too. They're wonderful especially when you can't travel. I joined the postcard exchange and I got lots of them for a while but all of a sudden it just stop.
ReplyDeleteI love postcards. Some friends of ours just went to Alaska and sent our daughter a postcard. She is only three, but already very excited about them. We will have to save it in her "special stuff box" and start off her collection early!
