frosty
Our friends who spent the weekend downtown Barcelona went back yesterday to northern Germany... where they currently have -11ºC /12ºF during the day, while we still have 13ºC/ 55ºF and sunshine. Freezing weather is something I do not miss! what kind of temperatures are you having during the day now?
-3C, going up to a balmy 3C this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteIt's been an unseasonably warm winter so far. I wonder when that's going to change.
I'm keeping my big, warm parka close by, just in case.
Love the exterior shot, BTW. The building's facade almost seems as if it's alive.
Our winter has been warmer than usual too, Mar. Last week we hit 68-70* F nearly every day. Today is will be 55*, rainiy and overcast, and the rest of the week will be in the 50's (normal for us).
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE Antonio Gaudi's work, which is the main reason why I had to go to Barcelona a few years ago! His architecture and sculptures are fascinating.
ReplyDeleteIt is a balmy -1C here in Toronto, we've been having the warmest January on record.
I think I'll put on the Alan Parsons Project's song, La Sagrada Familia, in honor of Mr. Gaudi.
ReplyDeleteAnyone wish to do the same?
mild and damp here in the UK.
ReplyDeleteHopefully there will be lots of nice snow in Bavaria! :-)
cq
Great idea, Carmi!
ReplyDeletecq - there's lots of snow in Bavaria, take warm ski clothes, though!
Its unseasonably warm here in Virginia...its been staying between 50 and 60 and not one bit of snow. very strange. Michele sent me.
ReplyDeletehi mar! we're getting about 40 degree weather here... somedays have been up to almost 60 and then some are in the 30's! it's crazy weather for us!
ReplyDeletehere from michele's but i have you on my T13 list so I read you more often than when playing michele's game!
You never know from oner day to the next..My poor plants don't know what to do!!!
ReplyDeleteHere from Michele this morning Mar...
Michele sent me to your sunny clime, Mar.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend and today were normal weather for here this time of year. The high of the day around 45F. Tomorrow, however, it's supposed to get up to 60F.
Kenju, above, lives only about 50 miles from me so my weather is very similar to hers. (but there's no way it's going to hit 55 today!)
It's about 52 degrees Fahrenheit... I think that's about 11 degrees Celsius (aren't I lucky that the last 2 lessons in my daughter's math book covered temperature conversions??)
ReplyDeleteHi, Michele sent me.
In St. Louis it's been in the mid-40s during the day, and upper-20s at night. (Fahrenheit, that is. I have no idea how it converts to Celsius.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog today!
We've had really unusual weather here in Boston. Two days ago it waas 60 degrees, yesterday it was about 45 degrees, and today we had 6 inches of snow and it's now 33 degrees outside. My cat is going insane thinking it's spring, it's winter, no, it's spring, no winter.... Poor guy.

Oh we have lovely weather here in San Diego. Currently 70*F at 11AM. I, like you, can do without the cold weather.
ReplyDeleteI live in the same neck of the woods as Kenju, Deana, and Utenzi. So I'll defer to their weather predictions. (Deana is my sister, so I guess we globtrot in the same blog circles as well!)
ReplyDeleteCQ is obviously living in a different UK - I mean I know we have microcosmic weather, but you're only 30miles away honey, and's it's ****ing freezing here! -1 and falling.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, I know that's not cold compared to Canada, Alaska, or even Germany apparently, but it's cold for me!
Yeah, alright, it's probably about average for south England in January, but I'M cold! It's certainly not damp & mild.
Today we got up to above zero! Yay! It's supposed to get milder, but I'm not believing it yet. :-)
