no, she didn't...

Yes, she did...My entry for Idioms Wednesday:
She shot herself in the foot : she made a bad mistake for herself.

And also for: Outdoor Wednesday ···Watery Wednesday

This is my left foot, a partially torn ligament (while outdoors walking down some stone mountain steps) called for this charming ankle bracelet which I am supposed to wear until the end of the month. It's removable so that I can go into the water...but I should not swim! as long as I am nursing my ankle. So I literally sit in the pool on my garden plastic chair. It truly looks worse than what really is, I am able to walk without pain, I can drive, I just have to take it easy and it's not a good time to go hiking.

Update: thanks for all the get-well wishes!!

I love sunflowers but they are rare where I live. Lunch at the local marina yesterday had this wonderful surprise for me!
Update: it is the real thing!!

low

Costa Brava, Spain

is hosted by tnchick

As in low light... or when the sun is truly low... I had a hard time with this week's theme... my inspiration was low despite all the caffeine in my low cal beverage, the current not- low temperature didn't help either. But I am not going to lie low, I am curious to see other people hanging low...

Postcards from our canoe day last week, down the Tarn River in France and enjoying the majestic cliffs. Please note the tiny canoes in both pics to get an idea of the dimensions!

feet up

That's the way our holiday began and ended: with a fun day of canoeing!! Particularly for me since I had my feet up. Mr Mar loved paddling away and I simply couldn't deny him that privilege so I opted for enjoying the scenery which required much strength having to focus on so many different things: water, cliffs, current, pebbles, rocks, birds, dragonflies, fallen trees, big trouts, tiny fish, lost sunken items, campers, other canoes, other people. I wasn't sure about the amount of sprinkling water so I took my old camera for this event, that explains the quality of the picture and it's the one where my feet look their best.

I still have my feet up since I sprained my left ankle in a charming mountain village, I was walking down stone steps and one of them was narrower than the rest. I did not notice the difference until my foot told me so... it's a minor injury but it has given me a good excuse to slow down !

This is the Tarn River, a wonderful place with an impressive landscape of which you will see more soon. In the meantime...don't you see a tiny bit of red on that picture?? the canoe ahead of us? I wonder if it is enough to qualify for Ruby Tuesday... I will give it a try for a red carpet re-entrance into the blogging world! Welcome back to my little corner, it is so nice to see you again!

the blogger is out!

It's time for a break 800 km/ 500 miles away from home, which also includes a break from blogging. This means there is no time for a Part 2 on the ruby chairs of the prior post but thanks for asking, I was pleasantly surprised by the feedback and the wonderful comments! (at any rate, I wish a happy ending !).

I shall be back from France in early August with renewed energy, fond memories, and 500+ shots. Please take care of my blooming yucca, it will have its prime time while I am gone.... ::waving good-bye and blowing air kisses::

waiting

0906 063 (Small)

If a picture tells a thousand words, this one tells even more to me. I saw this scene in Heiligenhafen ( Baltic Sea), Germany, and the romantic in me imagined a whole love story of an impossible love. Two lovers being separated but longing to meet .The ruby red chairs and the table indicate the meeting point but time goes by, plants are growing tall and dominating the tiny garden.

The sky is dark and sad, melancholy rules. In addition you see the little sculpture looking out the window trying to spot the beloved one and and listening very carefully, too, so as not to miss a single detail which might reveal the presence of the significant other. And the mail box also seems to be waiting for a love letter…
