I love sunflowers but they are rare where I live. Lunch at the local marina yesterday had this wonderful surprise for me! Update: it is the real thing!!
This picture makes my day ! I love sunflowers ! I take the train from Waterloo to Brussels South at 4 and will be in Eastbourne at 7.30 !! (but of course there is one h difference, so for us it would be 8.30, but still it's quick !
One year I grew sunflowers in the back yard. They did grow well and were pretty - but not a one of them produced SEED! I felt like a sunflower failure and never tried again... They ARE fun flowers! The kids LOVED having them... but the birds were greatly disappointed! ;)
What a LOVELY sunflower in an unexpected locale! Seems LOTS of us shared this sunny flower for Mellow Yellow Monday today ... must be 'the season' !!! Thanks for visiting mine at Small Reflections earlier. I shared a couple of follow up 'sunflower photos' at Sacred Ruminations this morning ... just because ;--) Hugs and blessings,
That's a wonderful sunflower. I used to grow tons of them and although I haven't planted any recently I still get some that pop up as presents from seeds the birds must have missed. I also love the balcony with the window box. Beautiful.
