I actually collect small bits of weathered wood. I like to try to find pieces with interesting shapes etc :) This is a lovely pic! Happy photo hunt and happy weekend!
Mar, for the time beeing I do have a very slow internet connection. it means your photo took a while for me to see it all. But when I first have a glimps from the top, I was convinced it was from Chile. But I thought about what we did see in Pucon. And expected black sand...
I think I have to have checked my glasses ! I thought it was a Jesus Christ laying there, lol ! I have the young couple here with baby Toby. He is a very friendly and smiling baby. (so far !)
Great shot, love the texture! Makes me wish summer would hurry up so I could be at the beach with my head resting on one of those logs !!! But with -6 in the sun I think that whim may have to take a backseat :p
very interesting find for the theme. happy weekend.

I know a neighbour who collects weathered wood to recyce them into furniture. And his pieces are gorgeous but not for sale. :)

ReplyDeleteIs that petrified wood or is it "just" charred? In any case, can see how it would attract the attention of a shutterbug... ;b
