Valencia sky

Walking on the Calatrava bridge L’Assut de l’Or this week in Valencia, Spain (a 3-h drive from home).
The new building Agora is seen on the left, which hosts a center court for the Valencia Open and seats 5,500 spectators.

  4. Such dramatic elements in your photo!

I wonder how many string bridges Calatrava has made. We have a new one in Jerusalem.

  10. Mar that is a fantastic shot. When the photo was loading, I thought it was a ship's mast at first. Beautiful sky and the perspective on the bridge and building are great.

  17. This is an awesome photo. I love the angle it is taken from.

Thanks for your concerns about my well-being. Today was the first time a great impact was felt. My hubby's office is on Sathorn Road, not far from the primary area of conflict. Senior management ordered the office shut for the weekend; just as well, the conflict spread in the afternoon and the road was essentially sealed off. Public transport was suspended early, stranding many people - including my 2 older kids - amidst traffic hell all over. My hubby walked over 10km to get to them and brought them home safely.

But we are fortunate; Andre's friend is suffering without electricity and water in his posh apartment right smack in the middle of the paralyzed shopping district. I guess this may be a big topic of discussion at our BBQ session tomorrow evening...
