on dolphins and bells

It's time for Jientje's A Thousand words in Idioms. "The idea is to pick an idiom, or a saying, (even slang is allowed) and illustrate it with a picture. Each week we'll cover two letters of the alphabet". Here are my choices, pulled -again- -from the archives. Which means idioms are carefully selected to match my pictures...

Queer fish
(UK) A strange person is a queer fish.

Ring a bell
If something rings a bell, it reminds you of something you have heard before, though you may not be able to remember it very well. A name may ring a bell, so you know you have heard the name before, but cannot place it properly.

My idioms are up too, I tried to get some order in this. I scheduled it late because Jientje is always late, lol !
Thanks for your birthday wishes ! I'll do nothing special but I have got 5 cats so far for my collection ! A wall clock, ceramic and metal cats ! I am really an easy person for gifts, don't you think so ? lol !

PS. But I won't eat grilled cat steaks tonight !

  3. I don't want to be a queer fish. So I have to try very hard to behave normal. :P

  7. I can't believe we've all come up with a different one for Q so far -- I thought we'd all be showing the same 1 or 2 since I didn't think Q had that many. It's so much fun to see what everyone comes up with. I love that dolphin tile work! And of the ones I considered for R, I hadn't thought of that one. Great work!
