more from the South

(Scroll down for the macro shot) A beautiful poem from a Spanish poet begins like this:

"My childhood is memories of a patio in Seville,
and a garden where sunlit lemons are growing yellow..." (read more)

I remembered those lines because: My weekend is memories of a patio in Seville! Not only patios, but these two were particularly inviting:

A private entrance, but since the main door was open I placed my objective through the iron fence to capture the peaceful interior...

The one below is a scene from another building which is currently a vegetarian restaurant. Was I glad that the restrooms were on the second floor!! so I could have another perspective of the patio but at the same time I didn't want to be too intrusive... so I stepped back a bit , I don't like disturbing people.. .

And the first food macro of mine that I like! this was our dinner last night once we got home, assortment of tapas. Pictured here is cream cheese sprinkled with Provençal herbs, behind a ripe tomato...

  3. Those are wonderful shots Mar. I love the architecture and the quote is so beautiful. Your food shot is so appealing. I went to a tapas restaurant in NY and I loved it. Since I'm one of those people who tend to buy several appetizers for my meal because I can't chose one main dish, it's perfect for me to pass around small plates and try this and that.

  4. Tapas restaurants are popping up all over the place now! I still haven't tried them though! I'll have to remember the next time I'm in DC to look for one! I have seen them - I'm just not sure where they are! LOL!

These are just beautiful pics. I would love to be eating in that restaurant - and I wouldn't mind your camera a bit!

  6. I love this architecture. The thing that is way cool about Europe is that you've got some great places to travel in a not so far distance. Good luck taking some photos for me (hint hint hint) when the tour rolls around to you. I can't wait to hear your report!
