The bougainvillea construction (could I call it a canopy?) reminds me of a floral elephant, somehow. I saw this in Valencia a year ago. I will go there tomorrow (it's a 3-hour drive) to check if it is still there and to maybe get a sunny picture of it (click to enlarge!). Hope I can find the bougainvillea again, my sense of orientation is not my best feature! I will be resuming normal blogging activities on Monday. Until then blog, comment, and be merry.

It does resemble a purple bougainvillea elephant -- but a beautiful purple bougainvillea elephant, at least!
ReplyDeleteHow stunning that must look in real life! I love bougainvillea. I'm not convinced I'd want to sit under it though. :) I didn't know about the earth mosaic, I must try to take part.

What do you think?
Yes the beauty of bougainvillea! This of Spania is the best! I've never seen one so beautiful in Provence! My PH is up and it is 3:25 in the morning. As I wake up at 7 (I have to take a song's lesson for the theater, tomorrow at 9!) aie aie aie!
ReplyDeleteWonderful. It's definitely a floral elephant! I hope you'll find it again and in sunshine this time. I wanna see more of it.
ReplyDeletePretty Purple Effelump..... :-)
ReplyDeletecq
I have never seen them so lush! It's rather obvious they're not grown in my yard; I can only appreciate, not grow, beautiful plants.
