The ski season is over (Alpine stations will close in about ten days) and I am glad I am back in one piece! These are my ski boot and skis photographed at midday. Not a good light for pictures! While down in the valley it was definitely springtime, we could still ski very well on the slopes. It was very sunny and mild, this time we could hear the birds singing while we were skiing. We spent a wonderful Easter Sunday brunch with friends who live near Geneva and have a view of the Mont Blanc from the terrace, it wasn't perfect on Sunday but the sight was still glorious (click to enlarge!):

That is something I've never learned to do well. One of these days I'll take a really great ski lesson and it will all click. :-)
ReplyDeleteWelcome back from the northpole ! Please don't show me snow pictures to avoid me a hysterical crisis ! I am sooooo happy that everything is blooming around me and our Easter weather was also perfect ! I hope you had very nice holidays !
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your vacation was a great one spent skiing with lots of fun! :)
ReplyDeleteWarmth welcome back to the nice spring time. Skiing is not my department, have never really done it since I was a kid, but hubby loved it (and was quite good at it!) until he had a severe fall down some years ago. He went unconscious for unknown reason and just fell down with his face in the ground making it all red of blood around him! 2 hours of his memory is completely gone. No explanation why it happened, despite that he went through lot and lots of examinations. Anyway, somehow this made him stop skiing and now when I'm not interested either and pushing him to do it, it's not happening.
ReplyDeleteI am too chicken for skiing :)
ReplyDeleteLove the last pic, sigh, beautiful!
Welcome back Mar to a lovely Spring!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to a ski holiday too. *planning*
I love your touches of red in all the photos. Wonderful shots!

Another ski season come and gone and I didn't get in a single trip! :( Must have been some pretty deep snow you were working in though. Took me a few minutes to figure out the angle you took this from. My boots will get frosted that high up, but it's usually because I've yard-saled all over the run. I've never been especially good at it, but I love it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe next year, eh?
How exciting that you ski! Love the pictures.
ReplyDeleteExcellent photos mar. I'm sorry sking season is over but I'm glad Spring is here! Your ski boot looks like my big black boot that I have to wear because I broke my ankle a few weeks ago! Happy Ruby Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteYou are baaaaack! YAY! Now what will you get up to all summer long until Ski Season opens again!? I knooow you'll find something! Love that shot of the boot & skis!
ReplyDeleteit's ovious at the skipic that snow is melting fast. glad you made it in one piece this season. nice red stripe on your ski. happy RT!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!!! I can't ski, but that's because I was never a great fan of snow! I prefer sun and Spring and flowers in bloom too!
ReplyDeleteBut I love the picture of the boot!
Great to see you back Mar and as always wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteThat's something I've never done before!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, my dear Mar....
ReplyDeleteI must say, ever since the Natasha Richardson accident, Skiing kind of makes me sick to my stomach. I am sorry it makes me feel that way...but....what are you going to do. I'm Very Very GLAD that you all are home in 'one piece'!
Glad you had such a wonderful time away! I bet that view looked fantastic when you were sat there relaxing with some food and drink :)
ReplyDeleteAnother ski season over...yay that means the sun is on it's way! Glad you had a wonderful time! I really love the photo of your boot and ski's.
