... and let your prince climb up to you!! This is the Rapunzel tower at the castle park in Ludwigsburg, I saw it when I went to see the pumpkin exhibition . To re-read the fairy tale click here or here. Don't forget to leave a comment and may we all live happily ever after.
Updated after the third comment, joining Sepia Scenes, check out the link !! Here's the same picture after a bit of sepia treatment, to add a bit of visual romanticism, like in the old times...

I didn't know that the tower was in Ludwigsburg ! See, again something new I learned ! I first thought it was one pigtail of Asterix, lol !

I always thought it would hurt to have someone climb up one's hair. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a very cool sepia conversion,Mar! And nice shot too:)
ReplyDeleteGreat sense of whimsy, I love it.
ReplyDeleteLove the before and after shots. That tower really lends itself to sepia!!
ReplyDeletenow you've got me on a quest to figure out why the tower was built. LOL! I can't really find any info on the tower...just on Rapunzel. Which came first? The tower or the story?
ReplyDeleteI never knew the tower existed. It's very cool and your pictures are awesome.
Oh Rapunzel was always my FAVORITE Fairy Tale when I was a child!!! I LOVE this!
ReplyDeleteSome photos are just meant for grayscale and/or sepia...like this one!
ReplyDeleteI love how you show both version, and indeed, it is perfect for sepia!

ReplyDeleteI've been practicing tranforming my pictures into sepia, and I think you have to choose carefully. I hope with time, I'll improve my eye-trainning. You already have it!
ReplyDeleteThis pic zapped me back to my childhood memories...
ReplyDeleteFascinating pictures, Mar! SEPIA is quite amazing! Have you ever seen "INTO THE WOODS"? It is a Musical by Stephen Sondheim that covers many a fairytale like the Repunzal story, from a slightly new perspective! When you mentioned the Repunzal Tower, that is what I thought about.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I love the braid and ribbon. The tower is very beautiful in sepia.
ReplyDeleteha, so there really is a rapunzel tower :)
ReplyDeletesepia adds a nice touch to the photos.
