weekend snapshot

home **

The picture doesn't do my plant justice, in real life the flower shows a deep shocking pink! This is my Mesembryanthemum (meaning "midday flowering") criniflorum, which I just learned from blogging, although I am not sure about the "criniflorum".... Such an amazing succulent plant can survive with little water and has colorful flowers , which makes it the ideal plant for my Mediterranean garden (not only) in times of drought... We had a little rain Friday night, not much, but it was very welcomed!

  2. The color even like that is beautiful ! I could use some of your flowers in my garden, but I am sure they won't survive with all this rain !
The house is empty again, but we had a lot of fun ! (to be)DIL made an effort and was really nice, apparentlhy she warms up now ! I was probably too overwhelming for her, lol ! Our friends even called me to tell that now she is getting "normal"! Poor girl in this family!

  9. This flower looks GORGEOUS, Mar...! I am unfamiliar with this plany, but it sure good that you have plants like this when there has been so little rain....! Like many Cacti there are these succulents that seem to thrive, no matter the rain, and a good thing, isn't it?
