I guess I love snow because I don't deal with it on an every-day basis, I don't have to shovel, I don't have to drive when it's snowing, snow is away from home and it's always related to leisure and holidays. This was a view from the chair lift last week (French Alps). The air was pure and the snow crystals offered glittering all over. The picture doesn't do justice to the beauty I could see.
Please show snow pictures (even when they are beautiful) only when it is 40°C ouside !! Then I would like to see some snow to cool down, but for the moment I am FAT UP of snow and winter, lol !
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous!! How could you not love that scenery.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such a good photo.
Sending you hugs,
deal with 5 feet of snow, you would feel very different.
ReplyDeleteCurrently I am sitting in a ski lodge watching Hubby ski. It's a long story, but know that we are due for even more snow tonight! Eeeek!
It IS an interesting shot though -- and yea, I agree ... snow under THOSE circumstances is heavenly! I love it TOO when I go to IT... not so much when it comes to ME! We are a fickle people, are we not?
ReplyDeleteThats a fantastic shot!
ReplyDeleteya know if I could live like that where the only time I had to deal with snow was when I drove to it I would be in heaven too. LOL! enjoy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful......but for me, only in pictures. I had to 'live' in a snowy environment for over 40 years and I can tell you, it's not fun. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know 'bout Google reader.
My thoughts are the same you know! Living in south of France I enjoy to have my vacation in ski stations! this photo is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful picture, but at first glance I thought it was desert sand. Well my excuse is that my son is in Dubai, but I grant you that the title of the post might have given me a clue!!
ReplyDeleteI love snow for the exact same reasons!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
Snow is pretty but I like it ONLY when I do not have to deal with it...DRIVE in it; SHOVEL it; SLIDE in it (while in a car) or freeze half to death. if i could just stay at home. We do not have it here in Savannah, Ga of course so i am good now. When we lived in Illinois it was there a LOT..too much...Your picture is very pretty!! just like LOOKING at it.
ReplyDeleteSandy
Ultimate freedom - that's the feeling when going downhill like this.
ReplyDeleteI must admit, it was much easier when I was younger. One thing is my "eyes" another this is modern skies, so specialized it takes several pairs for a ski vacation, if you would discover all skiing disciplines. Nowadays I keep to Nordic Cross Country - whar we name a "Ski tour".
Excellent photo
I LOVE SNOW!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMagnbificent, Mar....! Often times I look at snow like this and it looks painted...Almost unreal, you know? I can imagine that "in Person" it was more than Breathtaking! Nature just cannot be beat!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE looking at it too, Mar, I just don't want to have to deal with it or be in it. Show us more!
ReplyDeleteMaybe since we didn't get any snow here this winter, I didn't mind seeing it. :) Usually, I'm not fond of snow.
ReplyDeleteI stopped by last week to tell you I was back, but you were on vacation. :) Glad you're back and had a good time.
So pretty and like you I don't have to deal with snow here in Auckland so I love it lol.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my children have never even seen snow from a distance !
