cheers!! it's October 7th...

This is it!! Welcome to the day of the open blog and thanks for helping me deal with my forty-tenth birthday! how did that ever happen? Have a piece of cake or two, a glass of champagne (or two!), mingle - I have wonderful blog friends, cheers!!

I have never had such a difficult time looking for an appropriate name for a post... I guess a bit of humor helps when everything else fails!!

"As you get older three things happen. The first is your memory goes, and I can't remember the other two." Norman Wisdom

"They say that age is all in your mind. The trick is keeping it from creeping down into your body." Author Unknown

"The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age." Lucille Ball

And my very favorite from now on:

"Forty is the old age of youth. Fifty is the youth of old age." French proverb

  1. Michele sent me over to wish you a very happy birthday. According to Madeliene l'Engle, the best thing about growing older is that you don't lose all the ages you have been.
I'm 56 and I'm having a fantastic year this year!
