I am not a stamp collector but a round one was rare enough to me, that's why I kept it. It is from an ex co-worker who was traveling in New Zealand, remember those days when people actually wrote letters? Happy weekend :)

  20. It sure is rare. A round stamp. That's awesome. I agree with you, writing letters now-a-days are almost a past. Emails, Cellphones and others took their place.
    Thanks for dropping by.

  22. I have never seen a round stamp... so it must be rare. I remember when stamps here were 5 cents... I think they were still 5 cents when I sent out my wedding invitations... 34 years ago today.

  25. Love the new top bar on your blog - very spring like!

I used to like writing and getting letters - all I get in the mail these days is junk mail!

A round stamp is certainly unusual!

  26. What a rare and wonderful stamp! I'm used to see a lot of them since my first job as a grown up was at the post office, but I've never seen that one for sure :-)

It's a pity though that stamp collection more or less is on the way to disappear. Nowadays not many collect stamps - everybody is sending emails.

Maybe some day in the future, these stamps will be even more rare and worth a fortune. Who knows.

  36. LOL! Your brothers story cracked me up! That would have NEVER worked for me - our priests new our family like their own! They would have just patted my head and sent me on my way! Derek got communion though at his friend Scott's funeral! Derek was a pall bearer and they were invited up before the rest of us. He was not sitting with ME because he was sitting with Scott's family! Sooooo up he went! He's not even BAPTIZED!!! Oooops!
