Mr Mar came home last night with this red carnation...it's part of a political campaign so somebody was handing them out at the train station but who cares? I have a red carnation!

  1. Hi Mar, I'm here from Michele's. Congratulations on the carnation - and good luck with NaNoPoMo or whatever it's called, I admire your determination!

  2. Hi there, Mar. I love how you've captured this flower. It's wonderfully composed.

I'm sure Michele will love this image, too. And the thought behind it. I agree with you: political source be damned...it's lovely of him to bring it home.

  3. WOW! ALMOST romantic! Well... he could have tossed it away, but he didn't! He DID think to bring it home to you! One point given! And I agree with Carmi -- you've presented it beautifully!

By the way... I signed up for that NoBloWriMo thing too... but I didn't see that button there -- did you make that???

  5. Michele sent me to see you, Mar. Hi!

That's a lovely carnation, Mar. I like the tile backdrop that you have the carnation placed on. I have a table with a tile top like that and I just love it.

  6. I bring home extra oyster crackers for Wifey whenever I have soup for lunch. There's more of a culinary statement than a political one, but in the end, she loves their crunchiness!

  7. Awww...sweet thoughts count too! Mr. Mar is a keeper and I'm glad he is safely back home. Michele sent me today but it is a familiar path.

funny enough, the red carnation is the symbol of the 1974 revolution in Portugal!
