can't find my way home

First "You tube" entry in this blog. (Oh, there is always a first time!) It couldn't have been anything else but this great song. One of my faves as a teenager. Which I still love to listen to ( we have the vinyl version, a treasure) I know, I an oldie. But GOODIE. Enjoy this , hopefully just as much as I always do...

steve winwood

Come down off your throne and leave your body alone.
Somebody must change.
You are the reason Ive been waiting so long.
Somebody holds the key.

But Im near the end and I just aint got the time
And Im wasted and I cant find my way home.

Come down on your own and leave your body alone.
Somebody must change.
You are the reason Ive been waiting all these years.
Somebody holds the key.

Chorus

But I cant find my way home.
But I cant find my way home.
But I cant find my way home.
But I cant find my way home.
Still I cant find my way home,
And I aint done nothing wrong,
But I cant find my way home.

  1. Michele sent me, Mar.

This is a very unusual post for you. Like you said, it's your first "You Tube" entry but even the focus on music is unusual. I'd not have guessed that you were a Steve Winwood fan. Eric Clapton would be more my guess with Tears in Heaven being a fave. Shows how little I know!

  2. My husband and I were just spending some time in front of the TV watching his old MTV VHS tapes from the 80s. WOW! What flashbacks! It was funny, scary and entertaining all at once! =)

    Congrats' on the "first ever"!

    Hi, here from Michele's today!

  3. Here from Michele.
I must be older than everyone here, since I don't remember that. However, there are songs I'm sure no one else remembers that were part of my teen and college years.

I do think the older songs had more depth in the lyrics than most of the music today.

  4. That's a beautiful song. I love Windwood. Posting from YouTube is really great. I'm incorporating videos in things I write or just music as you have here. It was nice stopping by again.

  6. I am loving even older music than this. I think I got caught in a time warp. I love jazz and songs by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

    Take care,
    Connie
