I have "borrowed" some pics from this local newspaper's photo gallery to show the white side of Spain.
Update, because OOLOH asked in the comments: it snows only in certain mountains in Spain. Only sometimes (like this friday, but not every winter) in some lower parts of the country, even at sea level, causing traffic chaos and confusion . But also excitement among the young ones!
very good scenery, but looks rather cold.....from micheles
ReplyDeleteAmazing photographs! Does it rarely snow in Spain, or just certain parts of Spain...I mean I know it's pretty far south and one would certainly not expect it to snow...But it certainly looks quite beautful in those pictures.
ReplyDeleteMichele sent me back once again...We sure do know how to follow each other around the wonderful Michele's Meet & Greet!
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure to be here with you, there in Spain, even with the snow!

ReplyDeleteThat's hardly the typical Spain we see in brochures!
ReplyDeleteMichele sent me this way.

ReplyDeleteJust back from your fabulous city.
Loved it.
Rashbre Central will show a few posts through an Englishman's eyes.
Oh, it is very pretty! Says Mom...I say, BLECH! SNOW! Who needs it! COld on my paws....potty outside......blech!
ReplyDeleteWow! I don't think it ever snowed where we were in Spain. I can't even imagine!!
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely!

Ohh, I love snow!!!
ReplyDeleteOf course I said that because I live in Florida and don't have to deal with it every winter. But our vacations are always to places with snow.
Enjoy your weekend!
I wish I was there to enjoy the unexpected snowfall! Italy (Milan) got 20 inches -- just in time for the Olympics.
ReplyDeletespain looks wonderful snow or no snow. when'll i ever get to visit, i wonder? :)
ReplyDeleteThat last picture deserves to be framed. Just stunning.
ReplyDeleteYou may be interested in the post I have up on my site this morning, then. I encourage you to go read it and the linked articles.
ReplyDeleteHere via Michele today.
holy cow, that looks cold! I've only been in Madrid and another smaller city, (very old and walled) can't remember the name, but it was summer, and warm...just like I like it!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain. I can't even fathom living somewhere where it snows. Remarkable.
