Pictured is a traditional Catalan bursting correfoc (literally "fire-runs") a striking feature of local festivals. This one is the fire dragon of our suburb, setting off fireworks among crowds of spectators. There are no cars to be seen as they are supposed to park far away for safety reasons, therefore no car detail (this is a stretch, I know, I had a difficult time trying to combine this week's themes)
Wow, what a fantastic shot. Pure magic.
ReplyDeletegreat capture. sounds like a wonderful tradition.
ReplyDeleteWoah! And cool to know that there are fire dragons outside of as well as in Hong Kong! ;b
ReplyDeleteAnd if you're wondering about the Hong Kong -- specifically Tai Hang -- fire dragon, you can check out my entry on it here:-
