ABC Wednesday. Since it is almost that time of the year, I remembered that some years ago in early December we got to see fascinating sand sculptures in Las Palmas (Canary Islands, Spain). Eight of the world's best sand sculptors amazed us with their art, having shaped over 300 tonnes of sand to represent the most significant Christmas scenes: from the Annunciation to the Three Wise Men bearing gifts. They used a special fine spray to harden the sand when the sculptures were ready, to protect the fine works from the breeze and the humidity. Below is the view of the scenery as seen from the 9th floor (our hotel room).
That is a splendid sand sculpture of the nativity! Absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe sand sculptures are amazing. I always envy the artist who can create these works from sand. Carver, ABC Wed. Team
