crimson

Color NameCrimson
HTML Hex Code#DC143C

I love this color, but the name was new to me!! and this is the closest to it found in my  archives, although now that the code and the picture are together, I am not sure this table set  I photographed in a French Alps shop is truly crimson...

  4. I love that color too and this is a beautiful table set. When I think of crimson, I think of the crimson robes or stoles that priests wear. In the Episcopal Church that I was brought up in my Dad had a crimson stole (the thingie he wore around his neck over the robe that hung down below the waist). He wore the crimson one for special services. I'm thinking Christmas but I'm so bad about the liturgical calendar that it could have been other times too. The stole was about the color of your shot here. I'm pretty weak on church stuff in spite of being a clergyman's daughter but I do remember what his crimson stole looked like.
