stellar ~ advertising

stellar ~ advertising

Streetcar* in Lisbon. Again from my archives. I was in another tram crossing the street but because of traffic jam, my tram wasn't moving and the advertising sign grew bigger and bigger! I know I am stretching it more than a bit, but the beverage is a stellar soft drink, isn't it? although I prefer its "light" version .

*A traditional form of public transport in Lisbon is the tram. Introduced in the 19th century, the trams were originally imported from the USA. The earliest trams can still be seen in the Museu da Carris (the Public Transport Museum) . Other than on the modern Line 15, the Lisbon tramway system still employs small (four wheel) vehicles of a design dating from the early part of the twentieth century. These distinctive yellow trams are one of the tourist icons of modern Lisbon, and their size is well suited to the steep hills and narrow streets of the central city. From the wiki.

J is for jacinthe

J is for jacinthe, which means orange color ( Source).  Which brings to memory this old and historical cafĂ© in Lisbon ~ "The Brazilian" ~  which has an entry in the wiki right here. A lovely place for a good coffee. From my archives and straight out of the camera ( which I just got back, with the battery lid perfectly repaired, this should help me to get back to regular blogging!).
