This is a new shopping mall in Barcelona, which was once a bullfighting ring (I like it much better like this!) The mall has a beautiful neo-Mudejar facade dating back to 1900 and striped Moorish arches. The remodelling of the long-abandoned bullring was completed in 2011 after many years of planning and construction. . Source

A much better use than torturing the animals!
ReplyDeleteA large sized shopping mall and a bullring put to much better use!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful building ! Fortunately this butchery has been abolished ! But there are still idiots who wants it back. I think they could play it together, but I am sure nobody wants to be the bull !
ReplyDeleteIt is very sad that any one calls these types of things sports. As long as there is outrage against this then maybe there will always be more money in turning them into shopping malls. It looks like they did a great job of converting it along with keeping it historical.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such a great picture of it.
Also glad that you joined us in Theme Thursday.
God bless.
I like it much better like that too. Bull fighting ought to be a thing of the past.
ReplyDeleteFabulous colours!
Está preciosa, me acuerdo de pasar por delante y verla en casi ruinas. Una bonita foto.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful new use for the gorgeous old building!
ReplyDeleteWOW THIS IS SOMETHING REALLY INTERESTING!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful building (and a wonderful photo). Now that is perfect recycling. I'm glad they repurposed the building instead of knocking it down.
