Numbers, we need them!! featured here is the number two (lower right) labeling one of the entrances to Seville's bullring (Plaza de Toros) , La Maestranza, which was constructed over the late-17th and 18th centuries and is one of the most famous venues in all of Spain to take in a bullfight. Again, I was here only to admire its baroque facade, painted white with yellow trim, and not to actually see an event, I couldn't ever watch a bullfight... Never!
Update after the 12th comment: you bloggers are brilliant! I didn't see a face until you mentioned that!!

What a beautiful building with the number two. I'm with you on the architecture and also on never wanting to see a bullfight.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't ever watch a bullfight...No..Never..just like you. :) Interesting!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful building, such terrific architecture! Many years ago I went to a bullfight and needless to say, couldn't stay for the entire program, but left quickly feeling heartsick! So, Never again! Hope you have a great week!

Beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteLovely. Those windows above look like zeroes, or just the letter O.

The building looks like a very greedy building with its mouth wide open. It's a brilliant shot!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't watch either. The building is lovely to look at though.
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
What a face on a building!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful shot of an angry-looking building. The Brazilians had bull fights too. We went to one when we lived there. The difference (at least in our town) was that they never killed a bull, never ever hurt him, just teased him (or her - cows were allowed) and led it from the ring when the "bull fighter" had gone through the traditional motions. Sometimes the bull was frightened enough that it tried to climb out of the ring.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, I could never watch a bullfight either. What a waste. Nice post for n day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful building. I see a cool looking face here :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the bullfights. Great post.
ReplyDeleteI so agree about watching a bullfight but I could look at this delightful facade for many hours. It's nifty!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind seeing a bullfight if the bull got to win .... (Okay, I probably would still mind. Why can't they just play nice?)
ReplyDeleteI saw the face -- it seems a bit goofy for such a grime place.
I couldn't watch a bullfight either - but the building is striking. I thought it looked like a face too.
ReplyDeleteBullfights are not for me but your photo is just beautiful.

They should use this beautiful building not for bull fighting but for politician fighting, that would be fun at least !

I wish, sometimes, I had time to do more here in the blogosphere than I actually do now. But I'm very happy, my age, to have a job, in which my creativity and skills are still highly demanded and preferred before people allmost 2 generations younger than me.
