The Montjuic Communications Tower (Torre Telefónica) is a telecommunication tower in the Montjuïc neighborhood of Barcelona, Spain. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, construction on the tower began in 1989 and was completed in 1992. The white tower was built for Telefónica to transmit television coverage of the 1992 Summer Olympics Games in Barcelona. The 136 m (446 ft) tower is located in the Olympic park, and represents an athlete holding the Olympic Flame. Source: the wiki.
We arrived in Barcelona the year after the Summer Olympics for 3-5 yrs...we are still happily living here! This is an early January shot, showing the glorious winter sun in the Med, only this year we haven't had much sun. I know I shouldn't complain, though!
I am busy nowadays (see prior post, thanks for the get-well wishes) but I will do my best to spread the comment cheer!!

My baby daughter went to the Olympics in Barcelona with her uncle and his family. I can't believe it was so long ago!

ReplyDeleteSpania is a such culturel pôle and particulary Barcelona! Yes, it's right, the first winter since a long time. But tomorrow, Anaïs and Kalle go back to Finland with - 5°c in Kajaani where they live. the separation will hard again but Anaïs comes back in Juni!!! Luckely!
