waiting

0906 063 (Small)

If a picture tells a thousand words, this one tells even more to me. I saw this scene in Heiligenhafen ( Baltic Sea), Germany, and the romantic in me imagined a whole love story of an impossible love. Two lovers being separated but longing to meet .The ruby red chairs and the table indicate the meeting point but time goes by, plants are growing tall and dominating the tiny garden.

The sky is dark and sad, melancholy rules. In addition you see the little sculpture looking out the window trying to spot the beloved one and and listening very carefully, too, so as not to miss a single detail which might reveal the presence of the significant other. And the mail box also seems to be waiting for a love letter…

  1. Wow ! that's another side of you I didn't know ! you are very romantic !!!

I would say after a while a very old woman and a very old man come out of the house, sit on each chair and fight because the garden looks so messy. and as they live in Germany they would say : What will our neighbours think of us !"

  4. Sad story. They are certainly neglected chairs, no longer used often and left to be claimed by the plants. I do love the red against the green though :)

  8. Beautiful shot and I love the way your mind works. I do that too. Sometimes I even make up stories about strangers I see in restaurants or out in a crowd. I plot their whole life.

  9. Mar I love the red chairs and the story!
I want to know more of the story. Why the meeting didn't happen? What makes one love so much that they keep waiting?
