This particular Alpine flower caught my attention at some 2,300 m /7,500 ft last July. I hadn't seen it before, it was extremely soft, furry, firm and snow white. Is it a flower?? I haven't been successful at finding out its name, but maybe after this post I will !! It was windy when I took these shots.

ReplyDeleteI think I have seen these fluffy things in the Italian mountains and thought it looks a bit like the cotton flower. But I don't know what it is. I am very bad when it comes to botanic !

ReplyDeleteI thought $8 for ice cream was a lot too and told DD so. I expected my change back!!! Some of the other girls had gotten larger ice creams, and I didn't really care if she got a big one, but she got what she normally gets (the kids' cone) and gave me all my change. I guess the teacher didn't want to have to bail any kid out.
ReplyDeleteI love Jan Brett's books, but I don't believe I ever read that one. Her artwork is stunning. She goes to the country about which she is going to write and does research. When I retired from teaching, I got rid of a lot of books, but not hers, I saved them for my grandchild (who was not even thought of yet.)
